I used to be able to joke around with him but now he takes jokes personally, uses me for favors, vents to only me about stuff everyone does to him including me but he knows I'll listen (ie taking jokes personally), and became tryhard in video games in an unpleasant way compared to before. | Master Kazuya 02/12/21 11:33:19 PM #1 | Idk. Before I felt like online dating was my avenue to meet women and I would obsess over it, but I'm not so sure anymore. My ratio is fucking horrendous, meaning from messages sent, to messages received, to conversations had, to actually meeting up. It's like the steepest upside-down pyramid you've ever seen in your life. That effort has definitely played its toll on me. I think I just enjoy matching and flirting with girls now more than actually following through. Part of me feels like, meh why should I even get excited about you other than trying to fill some loneliness void. I don't even know you. Why should I get invested if you can ghost at the drop of the dime for any reason at all? It's crushing to want to get to know people and they don't wanna get to know you. So it's like I formed some wall around it. Some girls I match with will keep willingly responding to messages but show no interest in me. Why am I supposed to be excited by that? Is she just some random vessel I use to test out my masculinity, push forward, and have some mannequin like me or something? Naw, I need her to at least make this conversation a two-way street. Some girls just keep asking where I'm from over and over and even if they aren't the most interesting to talk to, at least they're making an effort. Sometimes they seem like they want something serious soon and I remember those times I matched with girls where I felt the same way, and since they rejected me, some part of me feels like it's fine to reject them. As in, before I felt it was okay to act close at first, and then other girls ghosted me for doing that, then I thought "hmm, okay that's not cool to do", and now girls that do it to me I think it's uncool just based on the fact that I learned that lesson and not only cause of my own feelings, if that makes sense. I've heard of some people talking to their matches for MONTHS before meeting up and to me that's literally insane. Based on the amount/volume of matches they get, it just seems like it gets stressful since time works against you eventually. Idk how some people can be invested without actually being invested; feels like some sort of paradox or I'd have to be a psycho. Like do you just go around spilling your life story to every stranger you meet and then forget about it a second later? That's weird. I've set up some dates and then cancelled last minute because I'm just thinking like, fuck it if I'm not excited to meet you and your pics don't enthrall me after the initial novelty, why bother? I feel like with online communication, I'm still not conveying who I am 100% authentically, like it's always approaching 100% but never gets there. I don't know what 'angle' I should go about with some of these matches. I like their humor but I like their passions more. Do I say something funny, say something I really like about them, say some random BS? It's all so arbitrary. Idk. I was never too much of an in-person guy before but with quarantining, I'm realizing that maybe I am. That has a whole other ballgame of shit, but it's mainly just approaching. I think that they should just like, force Republicans to face facts instead of just hoping they'll come around and understand. It's like some weird abusive couple with GOP constantly abusing and attacking a nd Democrats being like "ok I'll just compromise and hope they'll come to their senses and change for the better one day". Like naw. Force them to have answers to contradictions. Challenge everything. Call them out. Put some real shit on the line. Team up with Dominion and Smartmatic for their lawsuits and give them any info they need. Tell everyone "if death threats make you turn the country over, you don't belong in office". So far in the first months they've done a good job but like, idk step it up and really put the pressure on these nutsos. Watching the impeachment, there's obviously a lot of facts and stuff, but the tone they're doing is like "guys...please just look. isn't this horrible? please please just look. its so bad please uWu". You can't force empathy out of psychos. No, they should be like "you could've got fucking murdered you cowards. they wouldve hung all your asses too. why are you working here if you wanna kill me? YOU should've joined the raid on the capitol if that's what you believe in. im on this side of the aisle cause i believe in this. why are you two faced? what if democrats raided the capitol? trumps gonna dump you in the river when hes done with you." Not verbatim ofc but like, the foundation of the tone needs to be more up front. Psychos that enjoy horror LOVE it when they see the power they have over misery. It's a pleasure. Just look at any convicted serial killer. They brag about their kill counts. They either don't give a shit or laugh when people cry in their face over their losses. Not that they are all that way, but the ones she has dated happened to be that way, and that's opened her eyes to be more selective about who she chooses to be in a relationship with. So nowadays, even when she sees a conventionally-attractive guy, she pauses, and really gets to know him first before she dates him. This is probably how it goes for a lot of women and is a comfortable thought, but it's so very hedged on the long game that it's still disheartening in its own way. You mean I gotta wait until I'm 40 before women appreciate me for who I am? Even in your sister's most immature state of being, looks is still giving them a chance to show who they are, rather than based off of, yknow just who they are. My overall point is that they have to be "burned" before they consider the opposite, which is a severe statement to make about any conditional group of people. They have to literally have had multiple bad experiences with looks to finally understand that looks don't equate to long term. That's something I have buried in me that I constantly work on without the experience of others. And this is only with long term needs. If they have short term needs, they'll still go for looks. And short term needs can still be important to our overall psyche in a long term way. It just sucks man. Also we all know that there are women that still fall for the looks thing no matter how much experience they have. It's just in our DNA and women are the selectors. --- itt my post is the best |
